Reservations & enquiries

The barn is available for short or long stays with a minimum of 2 nights hire. Please provide your details and requirements below if you are interested in making a booking. The bookings office is open Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm - we aim to respond to reservation & booking enquiries during these hours. Terms and conditions

The booking will be between Lopwell Barn (referred to as us or we) and the person making the booking (referred to as you or your) and all members of the holiday party. The contract of hire will not be effective until we have received the deposit. The party leader must be at least 18 at the time of booking.

When you submit a booking request/enquiry online please be aware that our bookings office is only open Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm so you might not get an immediate response. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed via booking confirmation sent to you by post or email and the deposit is paid.   The contract will be subject to these booking conditions and must be complied with.

PAYMENT

A 10% deposit of the holiday cost will be required once we have confirmed your booking. Payment details will be on your confirmation letter. The balance will be due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date.  If a booking is made within 6 weeks then full payment will be due. 

CANCELLATIONS

We strongly recommend that you also take out your own travel insurance for UK holidays which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation not falling within our terms.

If you have to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible so we can re-let the property.

If you cancel your booking within 6 weeks of the holiday arrival date you will remain liable for the full cost of the hire of the property for the holiday period.

If you cancel your booking more than 6 weeks before the arrival date, the Deposit will not be refundable, but the balance of the cost of the hire will be refunded if already paid.

If we are successful in re-letting the accommodation, we will refund your deposit, which may be less an administration fee of £30 and any costs we have incurred in administering your booking or making specific arrangements for you.

Should you wish to cancel a booking and move it to another and/or different date the above terms also apply.

If we have to cancel your booking

If for any reason we have to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control for example fire, flood or destruction/damage to the property we will offer you alternative dates or we will refund the amount you paid including deposit. If we have to terminate your booking during your stay for the above reasons you will be refunded/credited part of the booking fee value based on the time remaining of the booking. No additional compensation or expenses will be payable.

PERIOD OF HIRE

Arrival time on the commencement date is 4pm, and leave by 12pm for weekend departure, or 10am for weekday departure.  Failure to do so, unless agreed by prior arrangement, will result in a further day’s rental.

The accommodation must not be sub-let and must be used for short holiday rental only.

LIABILITY

Lopwell Barn,  it’s employees and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, sickness, loss or damage to the property or your personal property, directly or indirectly caused by or arising from the use of the properties or access. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard yourselves and your property.

CARE OF THE PROPERTY

You are responsible for the property whilst on holiday and are expected to take all reasonable care of its furniture, fittings and effects. You must leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of rental period as at the beginning. The property must not be used for any dangerous, offensive noxious, noisy, immoral activities or be of any nuisance or annoyance to the owner or other neighbouring properties.

DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES

You are bound to reimburse us for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand.

Every effort is made to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. However, if you have any problem or cause for complaint, it is essential that you contact us immediately to give us the chance to resolve it. We value your custom and want you to return.
